This enchanting palace was originally constructed in the 17th Century and was completely restored in 1993 by Rafael Manzano, the only Spanish architect to have won the prestigious Richard H. Driehaus Classical Architecture Award. Life in this traditional and authentic property revolves around two pretty patios and the magnificent roof terraces. The main patio is surrounded by a gallery made up of impressive roman columns and the centerpiece is a beautiful marble fountain. There is a mechanic awning that moves with the sun, keeping the property cool during the hottest hours of the day. The patios remain at a pleasant temperature and allow a great deal of natural light into all of the rooms. Casa Palacio San José is in a very privileged area, between two of the most popular areas of the city: Santa Cruz and the Jewish Quarter and in front of the Madre de Dios Convent, constructed in the 16th Century. It is also close to the 18th Century Synagogue called Santa María La Blanca, which is an Andalusian heritage site. No expense has been spared in the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, with marble flooring, antique furniture and individual style touches throughout. The living and dining area is spacious and bright, with plenty of sitting space and access to the large private terrace. This is just one of three separate outdoor spaces that guests can make use of,each giving different view over the city. The property is just a five minute walk from the Giralda, Cathedral, Reales Alcázares, etc. restaurants and tapas bars, supermarkets, markets, flamenco bars, Murillo Gardens and also the Maria Luisa Park. Santa Justa train station is a ten minute drive away, where you can get the high-speed train which leaves you in Madrid in just two and half hours. San José I occupies the entire first floor of the building. For groups or large families, there is the possibility to rent Casa Palacio San José I, Casa Palacio San José II or add one of the comfortable patio apartments.

The bedrooms are accessed from the living room through a short corridor. Both bedrooms have 2 beds (0.90cm x 1.90cm) and a dressing table. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with bathtub and built in cupboard space. Please note that there are marble floors throughout the apartment. The 55m2 private terrace is accessed from the living room and is equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Washing machine and drier are situated in the communal washroom (shared with 2 other apartments) situated on the loft where there is also access to more than 100m2 of communal terrace.
